Attention all Adult players.
As you are aware Skryne take on Dul/Bellewstown in a White Collar boxing event in the Pillo hotel on Saturday 24 Nov. Many of your colleagues are busy every Tuesday and Friday nights training for this event. They have to raise enough funds to compete in the event and also hope to bring in enough extra revenue to help defray some of the club expenses. In order that they can box they have to raise €200 euro in sponsorship and sell a further 10 tickets for the event. It is imperative that all adult members of our club get behind this effort by the lads and girls to raise funds for our club. Every adult member should be in a position to bring at least €200 euro in funds into the club. This may be achieved by;
1. selling tickets for the event or
2. by raising sponsorship.
We would also like to invite players, who are not competing, to act as managers to those who are going to box for the club. This is the final opportunity this year for our members, particularly our adult players, to get involved in raising much needed funds for Skryne GFC. The Executive Committee are well aware that our members are very generous in their support of the weekly Blotto and all other fundraising events which are organised during the year and are indeed grateful for your continued support. While, unlike some other clubs, we are not in any great debt we do however have some outstanding overheads and we would like to pay this off before the New Year in as far as possible. Hopefully this event will do that and leave us with a small surplus of funds to start the 2013 with.
You are all aware of the ongoing development of our club facilities and hopefully by end 2013 we will have the upper-story fully kitted out. We will then have a facility to rival the best clubs in Meath or Ireland. We would like to then to be in a position to commit funds to improving the pitch and the grounds perimeter and make further investments in playing facilities.
Any help you can give will be warmly received. Tickets and sponsorship cards can be had from:
Dan O’Leary (087) 8222012; Joseph O’ Brien (086) 1767006;
Eamon Giles (087) 4161732; Derek Monaghan (086) 8042009;
Eddie McCormack (087)2517197
You can also collect these in the school hall on Tuesday or Friday night’s. We look forward to every adult getting involved in this effort for our club.
