Only the U12’s and Minors from the Boys underage played this weekend, the U14’s and U16’s had no mathches.
The U12’s played against St Peters / St Pauls of Dunboyne in Skryne on Friday night in Father Mc Manus Park. Conditions were far from ideal with a strong wind chill. This was their first game and all the lads played really well. It was a combined score between the two teams and very little seperated them at the end. Unfortunately Skryne were beaten by three points but well done to all the lads who played to the very end.
The Minors played St Michaels of North Meath and what a game it was. Skryne were behind by Four Points at half time and the swirling wind didn’t help things. Half way through the second half Jason Reddy and Eoin Smyth were taken off with injuries. In the end the Skryne Minors emerged with a well deserved victory and are now at the top of the table with St Vincents of Curragha with only score difference seperating them.
Well done to the managers, mentors & players for both teams.
