Despite the recent bad weather Skryne U8s are having a busy summer. The Meath GAA Games Development programme of blitz days is ongoing. The U8s have already participated in blitz days hosted in Dungany, Walterstown and Skryne. The provisional dates for the upcoming blitz days are as follows:

The U8s will also participate in the Summerhill Tournament. This is an annual tournament organised by Summerhill GFC at both U8 and U10 grade. Throughout the summer we will play games at home and away against teams from Dunshaughlin, Ratoath and Summerhill. This is a non competitive league with the emphasis on skills development and participation. In between practise games and Blitz days training is ongoing at the main pitch on Friday evenings, the attitude, enthusiasm and high turnout has been excellent to date.
As ever the continued support of the parents is greatly appreciated. Any assistance with transport, setting up pitches, cones etc is always welcome. In particular we want to acknowledge and thank John Quinn, Aidan O’Connor, Brian Smyth and Cormac Grendon for the help on blitz days.
