Under 15 Football League, Division 3 – Round 3
Skryne played Summerhill in the autumn league today on a beautiful day for football and came out on top with a good win by 5-11 to 1-3. This was a good team performance from Liam Gill’s kickouts to Effe Carty’s class finishing. We played some great football at times with good hand passing, great support play and plenty of quick ball and good foot passes. The first 15 mins were tight enough with Skryne playing against the wind. Summerhill put it up to us scoring 1-2 to our 1-3 with Quinner on the end of some quick movement to finish to the net and points from Craig Nolan, Padraig Finnerty and Peter Swan. The next 15 mins were equally as good with another exceptional goal by Effe Carty and points by Craig Nolan and Tommy Carpenter.
The second half was all one sided with 3 good point’s from play from Craig Nolan with good football to the fore. Also points from Shane Smyth, Effe Carty and a boomer of a goal from Peter Swan who also got a point. In defence Tommy Kelly and Jack Dardis were brilliant setting up attack after attack with Effe finishing off the scoring with another goal. This was a very good team performance with everyone playing well. Well done to the lads who have gotten off to the perfect start in their opening match of the League.
