The weather was good, The morning was exciting and you could feel a buzz in the air. Thats because both Skryne & Seneschalstown GFC U6’s played there first ever game at U6’s. Skryne hosted this exciting game and it was a credit to both clubs managers & mentors for making this happen., Both teams ran onto the pitch with the GAA theme tunes blasting in the background. The smiles said it all from the U6’s and cameras were certainly at the ready for this momentous day. Its certainly one that the U6’s of both clubs will look back on from Grandparents, Parents, Aunts, Uncles, brothers and sisters along with the Management who gave both U6’s teams a guard of honour as they ran onto the pitch. Weeks of training had paid off for certain as there was the blocking, twisting turning and point taking from both teams. The morning was full of what the GAA is all about, Laughter, enjoyment and the odd soical chat that took place between both teams of the U6’s on and off the field. These players of both teams will have many a match in the near future. Well done to Skryne and of course thanks to Seneschalstown for making the short journey and we look forward to the next round of games between both teams very soon. Also we can not forget the amount of food that the parents brought on the day and also the help with teas and coffees.
