The Skryne under 14 Div 1 boys played Donaghmore/Ashbourne on Friday 23rd March under lights in Skryne, final score Skryne 5-15, Donaghmore/Ashbourne 0-7.
Next up for Skryne was St. Colmcilles away on Saturday 31st March. This was always going to be a close game as Colmcilles play very similar football to Skryne. It was a perfect evening for football in Piltown, Skryne started the better of the two and lead by 5 points at half time. But 15 mins into the second half it was all square. Skryne in the 24th minute went 2 points up, but the East Meath club came back to draw the match once more. After the ref playing 6 mins overtime skryne just pipped them at the post and took the winning point, final score skryne 2-10 Colmcilles 1-12. Skryne’s next outing is this Wednesday 4th April v Navan O’Mahonys away, throw in 6.30.
