There was smiles there was fun and most of all there was enjoyment for both kids and the excitement was from the parents of both sides as it was the first time some of the kids wore the Skryne jersey. This wasn’t about scores or rules or having to bounce the ball after four steps. it was about enjoyment, encouragement and letting the kids play a sport that they will play for the a greater part of there lives. There was three teams and everyone got to either kick or pass the ball. It was a dry calm day and the managers on the side lines had seen all the hard work and dedication they had put in pay off. Skryne and Senchalstown were given a guard of honour as they walked onto the pitch as the GAA Theme tune played in the back ground. Credit to Seneschalstown who pulled out all the stops and made this a great day for parents and kids. At the end of the game every child received a medal from All Ireland Finalists Stacey Grimes. Afterwards there was tea party and all contributions went to a well worthy cause that was supported by Skryne parents and players.
A big shout out and thank you to all the coaches. It is a credit to you for the amount of work that has been put into the kids on a voluntary basis. This means alot to the club and we are ever so grateful.
