Skryne made the journey to St Pats in Stamullen to the superb facilities. With a dry spell and a cool wind conditions were ideal for a game. The sun also made a couple of appearances to warm things up for a couple of minutes. Throw in was for Three O Clock and both teams had a full panel of players for the eleven aside games. Skryne got off to a blistering start with some fine play from all the players. The defense of Skryne was solid from both sides and the kick outs were perfect from both goal keepers. The midfielders worked tirelessly and covered every blade of grass. Skryne U12’s confidence is most certainly growing with every game and the discipline is a credit to themselves and the parents along with the Managers & Mentors. The point kicking and passing of the forwards was a joy to watch. Credit has to go to St Pats who kept going to the bitter end. The discipline was good also. At half time Skryne went in with a 15-3 on one team ahead while the second team was winning 7-3. The combined score of 22-6 between the two teams was the overall score. The second half got under way and St Pats didn’t give at all and fought back with true grit and determination. In true Skryne passion the lads and lassie played extremely well in the second half and the pace of the game took a notch up in gear. Both sides showed some great skills and Skryne went on to win in the end. Well done to both sides for putting on a great display of skills. Skryne now sit in third place.
