Skryne U10s Community Games Final
As we said earlier you don’t have to be a gold medal to be a heroe. The Skryne U10s played in the Final of the Community Games against Walterstown Gfc Official this evening and what a game by both teams. Its obvious that both sides watched the All Ireland Minor final as this game was played at tremendous pace by two very good sides at Father Mc Manus Park. It was a joy to watch for spectators. Both U10s gave it everything. The parents were over joyed and how both teams played and credit to them they gave it there all. The spirit of the Community Games is for everyone gets to play and this is the same as the Go Games. Everyone got loads of game time and unlike the Go Games this is competitive.
Skryne were unlucky to get some goals with the metal work being tested on some occasions.
Credit has to go to Walterstown who defended well also while Skryne worked hard to get scores.
In the end Walterstown emerged the winners while Skryne settled for Silver medals. It was a game that anyone could have won but Skryne really showed some great grit and determination.
The best of luck to Walterstown in the remainder of there games as they were given the gold medals. We have no doubt there will be plenty more games to come between both sides in the near future.
