Skryne & Rorys Stories Solo Challenge for Livie

11 Clubs including Skryne GFC took part in a campaign to raise much needed funds for Livie. It was a Solo Challenge where Skryne had to solo from a Ballymagarvey Village to The Snailbox with Rory from Rory’s Storie’s. Rory had a massive challenge ahead and credit must go to him for taking on the challenge. Both Rory & Trevor got things under way and there was the odd reminder and shoulder they were both still very competitive. The ball was passed to Harry Rooney & Darragh Campion for them to do another leg. The next few Kmh was done by Michael Doherty, Owen Smyth, Niall Finnerty, Gary Browne, Cian Mc Carthy, Tom Lenihan, Josh Grendon, Darragh O Dowd, Zach Lamar, Conor Mc Manus, James Reeves & Ciaran Quinn. They started at 2.00pm and 3.30pm they landed in the snail box. Credit has to go to Team Livie organisers who left no stone unturned. The Civils defense and the Garda along with two further jeeps escorted the lads along the route. Alot of planning went into this. The bigger picture is the funds that is raised for a little girl who needs a major operation in America at a cost of $2 million. To date Rory has raised over €23k and we want to thank all those that have contributed to this well worth cause, It was great to see so many people supporting such a worthy cause, Thanks to Ian who has put alot of work into this and he should be proud of what he has done. To Livie parents and Livie we have no doubt you will achieve your target and we wish you the very best of luck for the future. Thanks again to everyone that also took part in the Solo challenge and the spectators who cheered them on.
