Skryne GFC held a very successful Golf Classic in the beautiful Black Bush Golf Club last Friday 16th June. 180 golfers participated in one of our main fundraisers with the first team teeing off at 9:00am. With loads of great prizes up for grabs there was definitely a competitive edge to proceedings.
Golf can certainly work up an appetite and our golfers will have been delighted to see our culinary teams led by Angela Naughton and her assistants Finn Naughton, Katie O’Connor and Emily Phillips in the morning, with our regular team of Kathleen Kinsella, Dolores Tobin and Lily Fox taking over in the busy afternoon session to cook up some delicious premium burgers supplied by Kepak at the ninth hole.
Well done to our first place team(pictured above) of John O’Sullivan, Turlough Blessing, John Finn and Felim O’Rourke. Remarkably, the team had never played together before but they gelled perfectly on the day, playing some excellent golf to scoop the top prize.
