B League Div 5
Skryne 3 – 6
Kilbride 0 – 11
With Skryne’s Mark O’ Brien scoring a goal, which was immediately followed up by a point from Conor Keogh within a minute of the throw, in it looked that this would be an easy encounter for the Taramen. However Kilbride rallied and drew level by the 25th minute. Skryne finished the half stronger with a further two points to go in 1- 3 to 0- 4 ahead. Kilbride resumed the second half with four unanswered points to take the lead by two. Further points were exchanged between the sides but with 15 minutes left to play substitute David Byrne found the back of the net to give Skryne a one point advantage on 2 – 5 to 10. Almost from the kick-out the ball was picked up by the same man and from an acute angle rifled the ball to the back of the net again for as good a goal as will be seen in football this year. Skryne were now 4 points to the good and while Kilbride posted a further point, Conor McKeown scored one more for the home side to leave the final score at Skryne 3 – 6, Kilbride 0 – 11.
