On Saturday morning Skryne played host to Summerhill and Walterstown in the latest round of Meath GAA Go-Games blitz days. More than 80 children turned out in the morning sunshine and demonstrated their skills in a number of high scoring games. The scores are not recorded, as it is still non-competitive at this age. The emphasis is on participation, skills development and enjoyment.
Thanks to all the parents that helped out on the day. The buns, biscuits and drinks were a huge hit as always with the kids and parents alike when the final whistle blew.
Also on the go at the moment is the Summerhill Tournament. The u8’s played away to Dunboyne last Thursday evening, and will play away to Moynalvey tomorrow evening 24th June. This tournament is also non-competitive based on the Go-Games rules.
Below are a selection of photos from Saturday’s blitz.
