Tar éis an Samhraidh breá tirim bhí an aimsir go huafásach i mBaile Gib don cluiche peil idir an Scrín agus Bulf Tón. Following the fine dry Summer the weather returned to normal with an extremely wet evening for the Premier football match between Skryne and Wolfe Tones in a very wet Baile Gib pitch.

While the pitch itself was in excellent condition and great credit must be given to the Oristown club for the condition of this new facility, the wet conditions on an extremely hard surface made the playing conditions difficult. Despite this it was an entertaining game with Skryne coming out on top on a scoreline of 0 – 11 to 2 – 3. Skryne had by far the better of the first half with a 6 points to zero advantage at the half time break. These scores came from Jason Reddy, Mark Harrington, Kian Reddy, Neil Burke (2), and Ronan McCabe.

The referee added on an additional eight minutes play and with this almost exhausted Wolfe Tones conjured up a second goal to leave the full-time score at Skryne 0 – 8, Wolfe Tones 2 – 2.  A draw with extra time to come.

With a further two minutes on the clock in extra time, Skryne went ahead again with a neatly taken point by Jason Reddy and this was added to by Jason Fox before Wolfe Tones added another to their tally making the half time, extra time score, Skryne 0 – 10, Wolfe Tones 2 – 3.  But this would prove to be Tones last score while Skryne tagged on a last-minute point from Kian Reddy leaving the final score at Skryne 0 – 11 Wolfe Tones 2 – 3
