Navan O’Mahony’s proved too strong for Skryne in the Junior Football championship match played in Dunderry on Thursday evening. The Skryne men held their own in the first half with points from John Morley (2) Sean Cassidy and Cian Byrne and went in level at half time with the score at four points each. After the resumption Skryne had a number of chances of both goals and points but failed to capitalise. However, when the Navan men got a half chance on thirty seven minutes the ball was driven home to leave the score at a goal and seven to four points. Skryne only managed one point from Sean Cassidy in the second half, whereas O’Mahony’s posted two goals and eleven points.
