Clonard scored a very late goal to get a share of the points when they played Skryne in Round 3, Div 5 of the B league in Skryne on Thursday 3rd May. This was a very entertaining game which Skryne took control of early on. Points from a number of forwards saw them 5 points to 2 up after 20 minutes. Clonard struck back with a goal and two points over the next four minutes to leave them two points up with half time approaching. However Skryne rallied to put two more points on the board before the break leaving the half time score at Skryne 0 – 7, Clonard 1 – 4.
Clonard went ahead again from the throw in But then Skryne took control again and had points from Brian Smyth, Cian Byrne before Shane Cunningham put them three in front with a well taken goal on the 45th minute. Points were traded between the teams and with time running out Skryne failed to deal with a long hopeful ball into their area which was finished to the net by a Clonard forward on the stroke of full time giving them a share of the spoils.
