The Very best of luck to Skryne U16 & Minor Player James Finnerty who heads across the water for Aston Villa. James was informed that Villa were keen to sign him on a three year contract. James played with the U15’s at the end of last season and played in midfield and along with his team mates and management took home the Div 2 shield when they beat Wolfe Tones.
James couldn’t go to Villa until he was sixteen. James was always eager to play for his club. Next up was the Minor final and James played in the No 10 position and being switched from full forward to midfield during the minor final game against Simonstown. Great credit has to go to James who bagged 1-1 out of a possible 1-13. Any team that he has played with all get along really well. James is a credit to his family and everyone from Skryne wishes him the very best for the future.
James is heading for Villa tomorrow where it all begins. With social media sites and everything now a days we will be watching his progress at Villa and look forward to watching you on Sky Sports in the near future.
Best of luck James from all in Skryne GFC !!!
