Donaghmore/Ashbourne 1 – 11
Skryne 0 – 7
Poor finishing by Skryne saw them on the loosing end of this B league match played in Ashbourne on Tuesday evening. Skryne were clearly the better team for most of the first half and should have had a comfortable lead before the turnaround. However a number of missed chances, including two goal chances, coupled with a well taken goal just on half-time, saw Donaghmore/Ashbourn go into the break with a lead of 1 – 3 to 0- 4. In the second period the East Meath side tagged on a further three points before Jamie Jordan got one back for the Skryne men. Donaghmore/Ashbourn tagged on another five points to Skryne’s two from the boot of Johnny Quinn and Alan Carty.
