CONGRATULATIONS to Katie Keane on her selection to the U17 Shelbourne Woman’s National League team and U16 Ireland squad. Katie started her journey with us at U8s Gaelic football in Skryne Ladies GFC. As she rose up through the ages, Katie showed promise as a skilled forward, but her true talent as a gifted goalkeeper soon shone through. Enjoying success with her club at U12, U13, U14 & U15 levels . Katie also played for Meath with the U12 development squad, where she was soon watched for future Meath teams. However Katie’s success was rising even further on the soccer pitch, playing for Harps Football Club Ratoath she was very quickly spotted and brought on to develop her talent.
Her former coach Teresa Mangan said “Katie is a very driven and focused sports woman. She has an excellent attitude to training and preparation. But Katie also has fun and witty personality too, she was always a pleasure to have on our team”.
The Skryne club and especially her teammates & coaches, wish Katie the very best of luck, with her club and country.
