Big Win for Skryne
Skryne 3-16 Ratoath 1-09
A League Division 1 – Round 10
Skryne maintained their position at the top of the A League Division 1 table with this convincing win over Ratoath in Skryne on Thursday last. Both teams were short a number of players due to County commitments with Ratoath more severely affected.
However the game itself did not suffer as a result and both teams served up some good entertaining football for the small attendance. On a splendid evening for football Ratoath began well and led by 4 points to 3 after fifteen minutes. Then Bryan Davis finished an excellent four man move to give Skryne their first goal and a lead they never relinquished. Paddy Fox added the second goal for the Blues to add to their 8 first half points. The pick of these scores was a great point from the impressive Declan Morley who bombed upfield from his corner back position. This gave Skryne a half-time lead of 2-8 to 0-5.
