Skryne U10 2014 Update
The football season for the Skryne U10s is up and running. Training commenced on February 28th . This grade caters for those born in 2004 and 2005. There has been an excellent turnout for training to-date with a panel of 32 players registered for the season. The focus on training has very much been on developing and improving the basic skills; kicking, catching, tackling, pick up, solo and scoring.
Blitz days
There are no formal competitions organised for the U10s. Meath Games Development under Jamie Queeney schedule and run a programme of non-competitive Blitz days throughout the year. The opening blitz day was held in Dunganny on Saturday 5th April. Skryne had 25 players available on the day and played a number of 9 a-side games based on the go games rules. The Skryne lads put in some excellent performances and came out on top in all of the 6 matches they played.
