Fielding without many of their regular players Skryne struggled to come to grips with a very strong Dunboyne side in the B League Division Five match played in Skryne on Monday evening. Dunboyne raced into a lead of 1 – 6 before Adrian White got Skryne of the mark on ten minutes. Skryne only scored once more in the half although they did create a number of good chances in the period. Half time saw Dunboyne with a very comfortable lead of 1 – 8 to 0 – 2.
The second half continued in much the same trend with Dunboyne posting a further six points before Skryne troubled the scorekeeper again. Ciaran O’Rourke gave them some hope when he finished a good move to the net. However with just fourteen minutes left on the clock the gap was too great to bridge. Final Score Dunboyne 1 – 20, Skryne 1 – 5.
