Skryne were host to three other clubs from across the province for the Under 14 Leinster Féile on Saturday 29th June. The visiting clubs were Clonguish from Longford, Clara from Offaly, and our Meath neighbours Gael Colmcille.
The idea behind the Leinster Féile is to allow those clubs that were not participating in the All-Ireland competition (the same weekend) to get a taste for what the U14 Féile is all about. The Leinster Féile was organised in Blitz fashion, with each team getting three games, but no trophy or medals were up for grabs. But never the less every team played their hearts out and each player was presented with a celebratory burger when the games were over!
Well done to all that took part in the day, and thanks to those that helped with the setup and running of the day. A special thank you goes out to the Ladies club who were on hand, as always, to help with the catering for over 90 players, their managers, families and supporters.
