Skryne 1 – 10
Dunshaughlin 2 – 17
Skryne suffered a heavy defeat in the B League Div 1 away to Dunshaughlin on Monday 6 May. Skryne got on the score board first with a point from Brian Smith and Conor Keogh followed this up with a further point on 5 minutes. Dunshaughlin pulled one back but Adam O’Sullivan, Sean Cassidy and Brian Davis hit back with three more for the Skryne side. Dunshaughlin however then found the range and were level by the 19th minute. One minute later Stephen Ward scored the first of his two goals for the night for a lead that Dunshaughlin never relinquished. Brian Smith and Jonnny Quinn scored two more before the break to leave only the minimum between the teams at half time with Skryne 0 – 7, Dunshaughlin 1 – 5.
Dunshaughlin resumed with a sense of urgency and scored a further 1 – 6 before Skryne troubled the score keeper again. Then on 45 minutes Sean Cassidy got on the end on a long pass and with blistering pace beat the remaining backs before crashing the ball to the net. However while it was hoped that this would give some impetus to a Skryne revival it was Dunshaughlin who pushed on scoring a further five points to three for Skryne.
