Skryne GFC in association with Duleek / Bellewstown GFC, are delighted to announce the upcoming white collar boxing night which will take place on November 24th in the Pillo Hotel in Ashbourne with the first bout scheduled for 9pm.
Approximately 20 members from each club will take to the ring on the night with each bout involving a Skryne v Duleek / Bellewstown opponent.
This event is promoted as theBattleof the Bolies as the Bolies is the name given to the area that links both parishes.
Each prospective pugilist is undergoing an intensive training program which involves two nights per week spanning over six weeks so as you can imagine it takes a huge commitment from all involved. Currently twenty three members of the Club are taking part in the training regime comprising nineteen men and four ladies under the watchful eye of Cathal O’Grady whose company White Collar Boxing are organising the event.
The event hopefully will generate much needed funds which will go towards the running costs of the Skryne Club and as the costs of running the Club are increasing on a yearly basis we ask your full support for this worthy cause.
Tickets are currently on sale costing €20 each and are available through the Club or any committee member.
