Well done to the Skryne U15s players and management who traveled to Dunboyne and came away with a 19 Point win. Skryne started the brighter and played some fantastic Gaelic Football from the start. Skryne were the first to register and took the lead early on but a few wides and Skryne would wonder if there chances of scores would come back to haunt them. Skryne kepth the pressure on in a low scoring gae for the first half Skryne stuck to the script. Skryne defended really well. Just before half time Dunboyne full forward was to receive a red card for a high tackle on a Skryne player with five minutes to go. Skryne were playing well as a team and moving the ball well but the scores were hard to come by. The half time whistle sounded and in the low scoring contest it was all level. Skryne 0-5 Dunboyne 1-02 The second half started like that in the first half and Skryne were faster out of the traps. Skryne registered the first score of the second half. Skryne really came out firing in all five cylinders and were putting pressure on the Dunboyne kick out. Skryne registered 1-05 in minutes to leave Dunboyne wondering what had happened. Skryne really kicked on from here and the team was oozing in confidence. Skryne rattled in a few goals on attack after attack and the defense of Skryne was impressive. Skryne were playing with a swagger and the movement was a joy to watch. Dunboyne were to receive another blow with a player receiving a second yellow card and was sent off. To be fair to Dunboyne this was far from a dirty game and both sides were playing at a very high tempo. To the joy of the Skryne players and management Skryne came away with a 19 Point win and Dunboyne only registered one point in the second half. To add to Dunboynes woes they also had there midfield player taken off from injury when he collided with a Skryne player and came off worst. Well done to the management and players.
