An under strengthened Skryne team, due to injuries and holidays, put in a workman like performance to
overcome Gael Colmcille in this Summer league match played in Kells on Wednesday evening.
Gael Colmcille started strongly scoring 1-02 before Skryne registered their first point. Skryne eventually found some form but still trailed at the break 1-05 to Gael Colmcille’s 2-07.
Skryne upped the ante in the second half and outscored the Kells side by 3-05 to 1-01 leaving the final
score Skryne 4-10 Gael Colmcille 3-08 – a five point victory for Skryne.
